Dave Angel’s A Time And Place, released on 18 September 2026 through R&S Records, puts live musicians alongside his electronic work. Across 15 tracks, it combines electronic rhythms, live instruments and melodic passages, drawing on the jazz and soul that have long informed his music.

The guest credits make that approach concrete. Trumpeter Steve Waterman plays on both “Réflexion” and “The Yellow Butterfly,” giving listeners two places to explore his contribution. Elsewhere, “Sprinkles From Above” features guitarist Merv Carswell, while the vocal guests include Robert Owens on “Harmony Serenade” and Angel’s daughter, Aurii Sky, on “Do You Feel What I Feel.”

Angel grew up surrounded by jazz and live music, so these collaborations connect with a musical background that predates his involvement in techno. If that’s the side of his work you know, A Time And Place gives you a way to explore more of the influences behind it.
