Kittball Records makes its 300th release a beginning rather than a full stop. 300 Part 1, issued on 11 September, is the first chapter in a three-part various-artists sequence, giving the milestone a release identity of its own.
Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora founded the German label in Solingen in 2005. Their history sits behind the number, while this edition brings together contributors including Mat.Joe and Frank Sonic alongside other artists. The compilation gives Kittball’s long house lineage a current form and shows how its community has grown across more than two decades.
The three-part structure leaves room for that breadth. Part 1 does not try to compress 300 releases into one retrospective; it opens a sequence that can hold different contributors and styles, turning the anniversary into an archive object as well as a celebration. The focus stays on the music: a named edition, a defined milestone and a group of artists gathered around the label’s next chapter.
