‘Fireflies’ first surfaced during Martin Garrix’s Tomorrowland headline set, where The Edge joined him onstage. The single arrived through Darkroom Records on July 24, turning that live appearance into a release credited to Martin Garrix and U2.
The released version features all four U2 members, making it Garrix’s first collaboration with the band.
